Coach Curtis Mann teaches 7th Grade Texas History and coaches 8th grade football and high school track and field. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Coach Mann is married with 3 children. He earned a Bachelor’s degree of Applied Arts and Science in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M University at Commerce. He has been in education for 8 years, ranging from elementary to high school.
As a running back/defensive back in high school, Coach Mann received numerous All-District honors, including Offensive Player of the Year. While playing at Hampton University as the starting cornerback, he contributed to winning the MEAC Championship in 1997. Coach Mann also head coached the 2014 & 2015 U.I.L. Girls State Track & Field Champions and finished third in 2016. He received the 2014 P.V.I.L.C.A & 2015 Dallas Morning News Coach of the Year Awards.
Coach Mann believes participation in athletics instills values and teaches life skills that scholars need for all real-world situations.
